I am a fully qualified nutritional therapist. I graduated from CNELM with an MSc in Personalised Nutrition and a DipHE in Nutritional Science. I am a full member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Therapy (BANT) and am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).
I first discovered the value of nutrition while working as a full time family solicitor in a busy firm of solicitors in London. Long hours, urgent deadlines, unpredictable commutes, trying to balance work and family commitments and a host of unhealthy eating and lifestyle habits eventually took its toll, leaving me exhausted, stressed, burnt out and ill.
Nutrition helped turn my life around. I experienced first-hand the amazing effect that dietary change can have on health and wellness. My background in law, together with being a mother of three children, provides an invaluable understanding of the demands and pressures associated with a stressful career and busy lifestyle and how that can impact negatively on women’s health.
I believe strongly in evidence based nutritional therapy and am committed to furthering both my own knowledge and raising standards of practice in nutritional therapy generally. As part of my Continuing Professional Development I regularly attends conferences and seminars at the leading edge of nutritional medicine in order to stay abreast of the latest developments and to provide the very best advice to my clients.
I am particularly interested in the field of genetics and the impact that this may have on our health. I am therefore currently training to become a genetic counselor.
